  • I think this movie is one of the most underappreciated movies ever made. I absolutely love it. I love all Shyamalan's movies that I've seen, which I think are all except Unbreakable. Plus the score for this movie is simply to die for.

Thanks for this compilation, it's beautiful.

  • Im in love with Ivy

  • I've actually enjoyed all Shyamalan's movies.

The Village was just an amazing film, and so was the Happening.

Both films have their own separate message about life, but it's sad how it's true.

The Village; one of the BEST films ever.

  • @mattbrad2- no, unfortunately the Happening should not have happened.

  • @Emilaria You liked the Happening? Really??

  • whats teh song on this?

  • @vmp0001 and i'm in love with lucius

  • Beautiful video... I must say it's a shame that on Youtube I could'nt find the short moment during the wedding where Lucius grabbs Ivy's hand cause she's lost in the crowd. I just find this moment so beautiful ! You know, he doesn't even look at her, just as if that was the most natural thing to do...

Okay, I'm getting a bit stupid, I probably should stop :D

  • @junkmailboy1000 To answer you questions: The consequences of wrongdoings would be hell if there was no forgiveness; I never said there weren't evils; The devil is a rebellious angel; Baptism, prayer, and accepting Jesus are not ways of preventing one from doing wrong and they're not meant to cause fear. Some people will, of course, fear hell, death, and other things, but fear is natural and it shouldn't interfere with one's daily life.

  • @junkmailboy1000 That's all true, the only difference being that the elders knew that the creatures were invented by them whereas many people actually believe their religion. You'd probably do well in comparing The Village with the Roman Empire's use of Roman Catholicism; Many Roman leaders didn't believe it, but used it as a tool to control and rake in money.

  • @mowingthefrontlawn The elders never wanted them to go out and actually look for the truth, and forced them into believing the "village" was the only world they needed. Told them to just believe on faith and trust the elders. Because if the kids ever found out the magical beings never existed (aka religious figures) it would've turned the village into a mutiny.

  • @mowingthefrontlawn In't the consequence of wrongdoing going to hell? There aren't any evils? What is the devil supposed to be then? And aren't the steps to making sure you don't succumb to the dark side include things like getting baptized, praying, declaring that you accept jesus in your life, and many others?? These are all still methods to keep people living in fear of not going to heaven. And to not have to do anything but "believe it" is exactly what the elders wanted their kids to do
