Born in Ogden, Utah as a preacher's son, Bryan Duncan began writing songs as a teenager while living in North Carolina. He also picked up the guitar, and was encouraged to perform professionally while studying at college. He founded the Sweet Comfort Band in 1972, along with drummer Rick Thomson and bassist Kevin Thomson. In 1976, Rick Thomas joined the trio and the group went on to become a powerhouse leader in the Christian Rock community over their decade-long existence.
After Sweet Comfort's 1984 farewell tour, Duncan began recording solo with such albums as "Have Yourself Commited", "Holy Rollin",."Whistlin in the Dark", "Strong Medicine", and "Anonymous Confessions of a Lunatic Friend".
The release of Mercy in early 1992 began an astonishing string of Christian radio hits for Bryan Duncan, ten number ones in all and five just from Mercy: "Love Takes Time," "You Don't Leave Me Lonely," "Into My Heart," "When It Comes to Love," and "I'll Not Forget You." Duncan continued recording, and released "Slow Revival", "Christmas is Jesus", "Quiet Prayers", "Blue Skies", "The Last Time I Was Here", "Love Takes Time" and "Joy Ride".
In 2004, Bryan joined together with an all-star cast of musicians to form "Bryan Duncan & The NehoSoul Band" The band represents a wide range of influences over the years of each members career. They have come together with a common vision; 'To write songs that become the fabric for the next generation". Their goal is to make their mark, set new standards, and create timeless music. Bryan Duncan and Nehosoul feel that music can effect change, and change gives them a story to tell. Living demands movement and movement creates history and they feel they have a contribution to make.
Bryan has written several books and he continues to bless us with his awesome voice as he makes special appearances all over the country. In 2010, the former members of the Sweet Comfort band announced they were heading back to the studio to produce a new album to honor Kevin Thompson who is now a quadriplegic.

I'm thinking Bryan Duncan heard P.I.D. or Michael Peace and wanted to do a rap song himself because this album released in 1990.
