This video demonstrates how to fold the origami model "Cigarette Packet" that David Brill designed. Dave kindly gave me permission to make this video accessible to you.

Diagrams for this model can be found in the book "Brilliant Origami" by David Brill.

  • Can you please make a newer/more detailed version?

  • @Dan4ik5 Not soon, at least. I do want to make new videos for some of the models I presented early on, but I'm not sure this is on the top of the list. Plus, right now I'm mostly presenting new models, not those I've previously presented (even if not as nicely as nowadays).

  • i stuck on 6:13

    please help :/

  • @TheCheekymonkeypants Check the creases on that flap. There should be a mountain fold, then close to it a valley fold, and then a bit farther away the next valley fold. Fold along that valley fold, as well as the first mountain fold. Hope this clarifies it.

  • Hi, I wanted to know what steps you used to make the box of cigarettes and a matchbox. I do not understand very well what you speak at the beginning of the video

  • Start with a paper that has a ratio 4 by 1, e.g. 12cm by 48cm. Crease into 4th lengthwise (marking 4 squares). Continue with the start of the video.

  • i dont quite understand what u are saying at about 6:17

  • Why was 5:33 repeated?

  • @jbabyportugal1 A valley fold is when the fold you made is facing away from you, while a mountain fold is a fold facing towards you.

  • how can i get an origami like that?

  • Maybe it's just me, and this is totally a possibility, but every time she folds the paper there are new perforated lines with every fold o_o And they appear like magic. Someone please tell me what drug I don't know I'm doing or explain this phenomenon to me.

  • 3 people tried to smoke the paper cigarettes
