A 1999 film, "Mansfield Park" written and directed by Patricia Rozema, is inspired by Jane Austen's novel by the same name, Jane Austen herself, and her letters. This movie is perhaps the most experimental Jane Austen adaptation so far - you are in for a surprise.

Starring Frances O'Connor as Fanny Price, Jonny Lee Miller as Edmund Bertram, Embeth Davidtz as Mary Crawford, and Alessandro Nivola as Henry Crawford.

  • Is this in a mansion or a basement?

  • There wasn't any mention of slaves in the book.

  • Alessandro Nivola has some nice-ass legs HOO DANG.

  • Its Mr. Knightley from Emma and the younger sister is Molly Gibson from Wives and Daughters! Love how all these films use the same people.
