  • hey man i know you said its not your car but u seem to know alot about it....was that the perrin vta bov....cause i am debating getting it and love the sound it makes here....jw if that was it or wastegate chatter or compressor surge or wat??

  • yea man its the vta but if you want it to flutter you might need to be pushin like 20-25 psi cuz i put the same one on my sti and im only pushin 18. didnt fluter at all. but it could be compressor surge im not totally sure. but he dont have an external waste gate its interal so i dont think its wastegate chatter

  • yea its the vta(vent to atmosphere)

  • well he just got dynod and tuned. 361whp @401 torque, 22 psi. got the cobb racing map. he threw a check engine light after the tune but i guess it was just an air sensor. the bov sounds alot different now ill post new vid soon. this is my boys whip. i have a black one under construction :D

  • where's your cold air? thats a short ram...

  • @stimuncy bovs are adjustable..losen up the spring or tighten it(i forgot) and it should flutter even with running just stock boast....i dont care wut u guys do with ur car the flutter is not good..it means the bov is purging late

  • im not to sure but i think thats not good

  • @EVOLUTlONX Yes it is, but when people say "OMG surge kills ur turboz" it irks me because surge with the throttle closed is far less harmful than the full load, on boost surge. (what actually does kill turbos)

*(most of the time low boost surge is unavoidable on big turbos due to having to run such a high spring pressure)

  • @subaruirv Axi-symmetric stall IS compressor surge you dumb ass.

  • this is actually not even true compressor surge. true surge happens on boost. this is just compressor stall. still not great for the turbo, but not really harmful either.

  • i have the same perrin setup and it sounds just like that and its not compressor surge that flutter comes from the bov open close sick sound.

  • compressor surge! but it sounds cool ;D
