1982 300SD 0-60 w/straight pipe

0-60 in my 1982 300SD. Not optimal, since it was raining, I had some junk in the trunk, and 3/4 tank of fuel. Plus, it was on a slight uphill grade. All things considered, not bad! This car has a 2.5" straight pipe. Current mileage, just a bit over 278,000.

FYI: I own a E.K. Civic with K20A transplant. Ok so it does weigh 3800. but were talking performance. for a diesel engine, look at the needle how fast its acceleration goes in spite of its old age.

if yours is making 115 then you have one lame engine on you SD, besides this is diesel, 300SD still run by the time you need to hit the gas station.

This Mercedes does not weigh 8000 pounds; it around 3800 pounds... and my civic does have a higher top end speed and will get there quickly. These 5 cylinder 148hp diesels can probably hit 105- 115 at most on a good day. My civic is way faster than that. You don't know what you are talking about. I have owned these Mercedes diesels myself; turbo and NA.
