I don't think he said burnouts enough. I LIKE BURNOUTS!!!!

Oh cool, youtube car engineers.
-
@Greendude33 about Grand Am, why do Audi, BMW, Mercedes and Porsche pour so many millions into it?
-
@Greendude33 real world road-holding ability. Thing is LRA is good on both high-speed and highly techical turns that fully compress the suspension with quick risers and drops on tight hairpins plus standing on the brakes before a 30-40 mph off-camber or decreasing radius then standing on the gas from 40 mph on up. This is where IRS looses ground and the reason fanbois like to dismiss Laguna Seca and other highly technical tracks.
It's not like GT1, GT2 is open to pony cars. If nobody gives an F

@Greendude33 You're right, I thought I knew why the Ford GT was so slow. Actually it's 3485lbs (1581kg) but the Boss 302 beats it no problem. The Boss 302 should run in the 7s without a problem. Combining its susp w/650HP will take it deeper into the 7s.
What do you mean by "chassis and suspension pressure"? Would a Mustang's chassis and suspension fatigue at some point? If so, at what point?
High-speed soft turns look better on video and action shots but it's technical turns that test a car's

@acs4llc FYI the Ford GT weighed 3300 pounds not 4000 you idiot... It was the only proper SPORTS CAR Ford has ever produced thanks in part to the British. A heavy live axled, unaerodynamic, unbalanced pony car would get obliterated by a lightweight balanced mid engined Ford GT with a proper chassis and suspension at the Ring.
PS who gives a fuck about Grand Am let me know when the Stang can run with the multiple championship winning GT1, GT2 and ALMS C6R's
-
@acs4llc The GT500 would be very lucky to just be under the 8 min mark at the Nurburgring get real. The Ring is far more demanding than anyting any Stang has previously ran on... Yes the Ring is also a high speed track but you're on drugs if you think 30-40 mph turns on small tracks is as demanding on a car's chassis as turns as sharp that can be taken by real performance cars at high speeds. A car's chassis and suspenison is under far more pressure at the Ring when compared to LS for example

@Greendude33 Cups all the while showing IRS cars how it's done.
-
@Greendude33 Forget about the Ford GT. It was just a repop of the beloved original only bigger & fatter to the tune of 4000+ lbs. If it was designed to set the world on fire, it would've been plastic fantastic w/ a Mattel interior.
VIR, Streets of Willow, Laguna Seca are places the LRA in Mustangs has outdone the M3's IRS. Don't get me started on the Mustang's Grand Am victories that had BMW & Porsche crying to the FIA to sandbag the Mustangs that went on to secure 2 back to back Triple Crown
-
@Greendude33 Every one of the Nurburgring's turns are difficult? You GTFO! They can't be high speed AND difficult. 2 or 3 tops with zero off-cambers or decreasing radius'
The Boss 302LS is all over cars like the R8 V10 that just so happen to run deep into the 7s @ the 'Ring so how fast do YOU suppose a Boss 302 w/ lots more HP would do @ the 'Ring? I mean the 2013 GT500 combines the Boss' suspension w/ the world's most powerful V8 so even a blind man can see it'll run between 7:44 & 7:30 mins.
"108 other variations of the 911." Seriously, no need for the sarcasm....
....its more like 73.
