Historical Note:
In the Big Band era of the 1930's the Guitar Player was not getting heard. Drowned out by the brass and horn sections. This was before the days of the electric guitar amplifier. So a guitar was invented, made out of metal. The Dobro, or--Resonator Guitar. Now the Guitar sound "punched" through and the Guitar could at last-- be heard. This particular Track has and is--being used by DJs around the world as their "Opener" and/or "Closer" theme. It has also gone to the top of many Indie Charts. - Dixon DeVore -

  • National resonator guitars (and then the Dobro) date from the late 1920's. Metal body tricones were first.
