@SkyDivingDave I agree, and he says get your thrills from crw?? what?? do you know how many people are killed from crw induced malfunctions? and crw endangers everyone involved whereas hooking it in just effs yourself up. anyway nice bounce dude. 370ft is a little low for me to start any turn though.

As Dave suggested, you are an "asshat". Furthermore you are that person at the dz the holds potentially good skydivers back by preaching about things that you have absolutely no clue about. Because something has a bad "vibe" you just slam it and say that it's retarded that people want to do it to fit in and feel like you have a voice. Everyone I know thinks crew is retarded because of additional risks involved. Bottom line, do what you want to and have fun. Choice is ours.

haha that looks like an expensive crash. I nearly cried when I saw the broken cookie. also the pricks really make skydiving anoying. I think you should only comment like a bitch if you really care if the guy dies but other than that just shut the hell up and let him do what he wants..

@SkyDivingDave do you turn after your altimeter ? dont thrust electrics in skydiving. thats what i got teached

Thanks for having the balls to post it. I've done some stupid things under canopy (and paid the price). Like you, I'm grateful I walked away. Blue skies, dude! Sam B-20199

stupid is as a box of chocolates. but seriously, i think i'd stay away from any type of embankment.....haha, that's just asking for it.

@SkyDivingDave hehe "asshat"
>_<

It looks like some over-reliance on the altimeter. Thanks for posting though...some good learning material here.

@skyjunkySean What!! they are still doing couchfreaks!!! That one one of the big boogies back in my day (jumped mostly in the 90s) although I was more of a Quincy fan. As for hook turns - to each their own, if you accept the risk there is some great reward (they felt awesome when done right) but I have a buddy that knows the down side and is carrying a bunch of titanium that is holding his spine together.

HAHAHAHA 180 to ground....... like a moth to the flame....or a deer in the headlights....just kept spiraling. HAHAHAHA Didn't look like there was any stab...
I made one mistake, and I paid the price but was lucky enough to walk away. No, I do not hook on every landing. In fact, I've taken a step back and started all over from the beginning. You don't know anything about me but you came in here and started name-calling. Bite my ass.

twat? let me guess under 500jumps?

You guess wrong, and who you calling a twat? I've seen some very experienced canopy pilots do the same thing, it happens to the best of them sometimes. I'm just willing to put mine up there for the world to see and hopefully someone will learn from my mistake.

80% of skydive related injurys and deaths are caused from hook turns,its so dumb get ur thrill from freefall or crw not dicing with death. yeah they look cool as fuck when you do em correct, but even like you said the most experienced canopy pilots fuck em up and are lucky to live,thinking you can control the turn low is ok,thinking you can control the slight thermal as you come in which drops you enough to kill you is madnessyou can control the canopy to a degree but not thermals or unseen wind

100% of skydive related injuries and deaths are caused from skydiving. It's so dumb, get your thrill from video games. Sure, it seems cool as fuck to skydive when you do it correctly, but you can't control everything in the air all the time. You sound like a wuffo. Let me guess, under 500 jumps and you only do belly flying?

let me guess 2587 jumps, Aff instructor, raps instructor , Ff1 ff2 ... if you can control thermals and turbulence like god can you bring back 2 of my best mate marine buddys who died hooking, and reserve me a place in heaven...cheers god ;)

Not at all, I never made any claim of greatness nor do I claim to be infallible. Quite the opposite actually. My point is that everything has it's dangers, we willingly accept those dangers. You are the asshat who came in here calling me a twat and preaching the dangers of swooping, I merely pointed out that skydiving is a danger in itself.
