everyone lay off rrdrums .... he`s set in his ways , he refuses to move on from his comfort zone , he is ignorant of the many beautiful cats who play beautiful drums .... feel bad for him instead of kicking him to the curb ....maybe one day he will come out of his shell and let himself experience all the great drummers and the great things they play

Let me tell ya something... I'm a jazz drummer and fan myself. and as a drummer that listens to jazz... and when i say jazz i mean from 1940 to 2011. i think you're holding too tight on the tradition... let the jazz flow... jazz has always been changing since the 30's. and those names you mentioned... they were pioneers that had something new to say about drumming. all i say is, without inovation, this style wouldnt have existed at all. let it swing man.
