The guy is an interpretation of the player. The story barckdrop of shenmue starts in Hong Kong. The commercial basically says to the player. "Beware of those who you meet." Playing the game you get that. Especially in the beginning of the game where they steal your bag. It sets the tone of the game through out. The commercial made perfect sense. Its like saying, "hong kong is beautiful and exciting but it can also be dangerous. Sigh. I miss playing shenmue. I wish i had part one. Only got 2
