Should Rushdie Die? The Islamic Verdict. - A lecture by Sheikh Ahmed Deedat. Mr Ahmed Deedat likens Salman Rushdie to a 'clever human devil.' Just like Abu Jahal, a brilliant man who used his intelligence wrongly and disrespectfully. The punishment for the blesphemer, according to the Holy Qur'an is to execute or crucify the culprit or to cut off the hands and feet from opposite sides; depending upon the gravity of the crime.
