WYD 2008 - Catechesis, time of sharing

This morning we are in Hyde Park, in the center of Sydney, this park is literally buzzing with pilgrims, and it is such a beautiful sunny day. The main event this morning is animated Catechesis. Catechesis is basically teaching, and it will occur throughout the week during World Youth Day. We're with the modal head of the Missionaries of God's Love who are hosting this event inside.


"Yeah, this particular event will have first of all a time of worship, a time in which we are really praising God from the heart, and in that we'll use charismatic gifts as well, so we'll be praying in tongues and that sort of thing, and they'll be a time of sharing, where people will share about their vocations maybe, and we'll have a time where we'll invite people to just respond to that, and then we'll have a quieter time at about twelve o'clock just of reverence of the Lord. The Missionaries are really aimed at bringing God's love to as many people as possible, especially to young people and to the poor".
