I own a 2007 Freestar and while I know it cannot beat the Grand Am (used to own one but sold it to buy the van) in a race if they both floor it, the Freestar has a much more power off the line and at half throttle would kick the Grand Am.

@RaguelAngelofBalance Freestar was discontinued because Ford didn't want to build minivans anymore. They built that piece of crap under the Freestar and Windstar names for 8 years with no mechanical or electrical changes. Building shit isn't something Ford has a problem with.

@bigj5885 but yes it is a shame that there falling apart, in fact ive found out that some of the 98 modles are having that problem, so now it concernes me, what bout the sterring, can you clareify?

@dsjamesk it's ashame that the 2nd Generation Windstars are all falling apart with the Rear Axles and now something with the Front End and The Steering. Damn Shame.
