WYLIE - Witnesses said a school bus carrying students from Wylie East High School crashed into a residence at North Winding Oaks Drive and Ann Drive in Wylie Tuesday morning.
Scott Fishencord said he had just dropped off his kids at the middle school down the street at 8:15 a.m. when he saw the bus coming right at him.
He said the bus made a 180 degree turn at the corner, jumped the sidewalk, went through a wooden fence and smashed through the brick wall of the home into a guest bedroom and bathroom area.
Fishencord said the driver told him that the accelerator got stuck and she lost control of the bus.
Wylie ISD spokeswoman Susan Dacus told News 8 that the none of the 16 freshmen and sophomore students on the three-year-old bus were injured. Another bus took them on to school, although they were told to report to the nurse if they felt any residual problems.

The windshield of the bus was shattered by the impact.
Dacus said the bus driver received minor lacerations to the face and was taken to Methodist Richardson Medical Center for treatment. She has been with the district since 2006 and is fully certified.
"Any time you have a school bus run into a house and you have 13 children on the bus, you're lucky whenever only your school bus driver sustains minor injuries," said Wylie police Detective Venece Perepiczka. "The kids definitely could have been hurt worse; it's not every day a school bus hits a house."
The home suffered serious damage; the impact also ripped away part of the roof. Firefighters helped clear debris from the damaged section and attempted to stabilize and secure the structure.
The owner of the property, who did not wish to be identified, said no one was home when the crash occurred. She was busy contacting her insurance company about the 10-foot hole in her house.
She said she was grateful that everyone appeared to be okay.
her husband probably had an affair with the owner of the house
