His biggest tip: don't get ripped off. You know when you're getting ripped off. Frank suggests repetition; it's how he learned Rush's Free Will, Anthem, and Black Sabbath's Neon Knights, which he actually got to ask Geezer Butler about parts he was getting tripped up on. If you don't have the opportunity to ask your favorite bassist how to play their parts, Frank praises YouTube for tutoring.
At 7:45 he explains a bit of technique in Got the Time, and how to steady your hits.

God what a insanely good bass player. I wish I had just 10% of his skill

Yeah!!! It's so different, seeing him up close and just jamming on the songs - and that's what he does, doesn't matter if the band is there with him or not - he's still very obviously having a great time, tearing up the fretboard!
I do wish he did a few more bass exercise examples. I could use them!!

I'm from Pittsburgh. It's rare that anything like this even comes around Pennsylvania, and if they do, it's usually Philadelphia.

That sounds awesome, actually! These clinics never come around my area though, which sucks.

If you can, you totally should. He had a guy come up on stage with him to learn one of the Anthrax riffs, and he broke it down bit by bit. He was smiling and laughing the whole time, I'd love to just hang out with him sometime!

Man, I'd love to go to one of these clinics. Frank seems like a cool dude, and his tone and style are all kinds of awesome.
