G.I. Joe 2 Update: Release Date & Cast Information

A release date has been chosen for GI Joe 2 -- but only 3 of the film's characters will be returning- find out who up next!

Hey Joe Fans, I'm Chelsea Cannell and you're watching Clevver Movies! Good News, the release date for GI JOE 2 has finally been chosen and the second installment will make its way into theaters on August 10th, 2012. In other news, the film will be without some of its characters with just 3 of the actors returning this time around. Rachel Nichols, who played Shana O' Hara, caused quite a stir recently when she revealed that just Storm Shadow, Snake Eyes and Duke would be returning in the Jon Chu directed Sequel. While it was previously reported that most of the actors would be re-joining the cast, it now looks like only Lee Byung-hun, Ray Park and Channing Tatum have made the cut

One reason could be paramount's budgetary concerns for the film -- but of course we can't be sure. So what's your take and are you going to see GI Joe 2 once it hits theaters? Well most of the characters were crap anyway that's why they lost so much money on the first one plus weak script. I'm glad those actors will be in the next one they were the only true actors I saw on the movie anyways. Can't wait till America starts noticing Lee Byung Hun he is a truly amazing actor.
