@N0WDallas Why do people dock dogs' tails? I know it made sense when u used larger breeds to pull karts and it could get caught in the hinges. Does it have any advantages for a herding dog?

@N0WDallas good its dumb to cut the tails off most beautiful part of ACDs they look like fox tails. I have one Blue looks just like yours a Red and another blue that is all white and silver

You never dock a heelers tail. It's their rutter.

Great video - I rescued a blue heeler whose tail was docked at around 1 month old. Very sad, but he's a great dog.
did you know that AKC will now recognize a blue healer if the tail is docked. We were going to dock our ACD until we found this out. Nice Dog!

She arrived with her tail docked....it is about 50/50 here....some dock...some don't. I think that fewer will get docked in the future...

Are you sure shes and ACD? Australian stumpys look just like the cattle dogs but are born without a tail.

The person who owns her parents told me that she docked the tail. I have never seen a stumpy but would like to see the difference between the dogs. Are they smaller in height and weight than average heelers?
