How To Do Lightning In Adobe Photoshop Elements 6!
1. Open new file
2. Make sure you colors are black and white
3. Go to gradient, click on the first one
4. Make the line in the middle, a little ways off of the edge
5. Go to filter, render, difference clouds
6. Layer, adjustment layer, invert
7. Layer, adjusment layer, levels and move the arrows towards the end
8. You can add some hue/saturation if you like to make it colorful
9. You got yourself lightning! :-D

You could have left out 0:12 to 0:32 oh and also a higher resolution would have been nice but you have a nice description here so that's okay :)
