-
hard out! we do!
-
so since he's playing the song on key of Bb/A# the flat 7th would be a F chord??? Am I right?
-
Thanks, that does help. I did figure it right.
I had not been able to find that chord in and of my chord books, so I had basically just sounded it out by ear.
-
I'd like to see that flat 7th chord he's talking about, I think I've got it but I'm not sure.

My Calling - Ezekiel Chapter 33 Verse 7-9.

Flat 7th - or dominant 7th chord... basically, let's say he's playing in the key of D- the flat 7th is a C chord. If the songs is in the key of E, the flat 7th is a D chord. And so on. The 7th in the key of E is D#, so when he says "flat 7th," he's just lowering that D# down a half step (thus a D chord). Hope this helps you out!

What a wonderful way to incorporate a classic hymn into a modern genre. It's so great to hear the older songs that people hunger for sometimes, presented in a way that can be embraced by all ages! We need more of these!
