As managing partner of Satori Capital, Sunny is passionate about investing in profitable, growing, sustainable businesses willing to commit to
the success of all stakeholders. He's also determined to
restore the honor of capitalism. A successful ipo with
Data Return, the company he co-founded, achieved a market
cap in excess of $3 billion. That made him one of the
youngest ceos ever to lead a nasdaq company. Sunny was
also an Army Special Forces Ranger Section Leader, which
helps explain where his honor and leadership skills were
honed.

  • Agree with do what you love and the money will follow. Key lesson from nature that is missing and needs to be integrated: today's discards are tomorrow's resources. Cradle to cradle. Get over consumption as well as instant gratification.

  • @amuse Alex I certainly don't actually think capitalism is dead. That's a silly notion in and of itself, which is why I started my presentation there. The point is this: capitalism in it's highest/best form is about more than short-term profits. Somehow along the way that is what many have equated it with. But that misses all of the context of building enduring value for shareholders by building enduring value for all of the stakeholders.

  • Still not clear how capitalism is dead. Is it really dead? Seems like you don't really think capitalism is dead. There are bad companies - capitalism tends to weed them out (governments prevent capitalism from working - i.e. GM). There are good companies - capitalism tends to reward them... Capitalism is NOT dead, it is alive and well.

"It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own interest." ~ Smith

  • Nice job, Sunny! Your delivery of this important message was articulate, factual, passionate and, most of all, correct!! I hope that those in the audience and those who have viewed on YouTube fully embrace this important paradigm as THE desired model.

  • This is brilliant and exciting. Thank you, Sunny, for leading the investment community to support businesses that are creating enduring value. Didn't Adam Smith write about the risks of the private sector becoming solely motivated by profit and forgetting its responsibilities as part of a larger ecosystem?

  • Thank you Sunny for your vision, for your incredible insight, and for your tireless dedication to making the world a better place!

    You rock!
