yes marx was affordable and they were well made you got more then what you paid for when buying a marx train set and from what i can see there great runners too i have alot of lionel sets but my near by friends collect a number of diffrent train outfits from the very old pull toy trains windups and electric some of them were very neat sets that iv never seen before
