@94camaroguy not true at all you should always work a full range of body movements and if going down to your chest fucks your shoulders then your working on a too high weight and need to come down the point of free weights is not that you issolate one muscle but infact work a whole group of muscles and in the case of bench press includes certain muscle groups in your shoulders

um no dont touch your chest you should only go to a 90 degree at the elbow unless you wanna ruin your shoulders, the first 3-4 inces are all rotator not chest
