Very good Mega, thanks for sending, I can see it was filmed some time ago but still nice to see working semaphore signals

Thank you, David! :)
Yes, the semaphores are becoming rare.

Really that's an interesting location! From what I've seen your videos, German trains generally move very fast, but here they go slower. Are there any restrictions?

I´m glad that you like the location! :)
This is a short ( 1 km long) connection line between the Freight Station Cologne-Kalk (Gbf = Güterbahnhof) and the Shunting Station Cologne-Gremberg (Rbf = Rangierbahnhof).
The trains are slow. When the semaphore signal is raising both arms, it means: drive slow!
That means they are even slower than the already slow velocity then.
When the little pre-signal is turning it´s arrow, it means: slow velocity is to expect at the next main signal.

@megatwingo In the first instance the speed limit of 40kmph = 25 mph, The colour light equivilant is green over 2 yellows, in the second slow down to that speed by the main signal and the colour light would be green over green and yellow, if both signals have a main and distant (Haupt und Vor) elemant
