Just wanted to show you guys my new setup. It's more like a real drum setup that I wanna try and focus on a little bit in the summer because I have time on my hands anyway. I tried using the absolutely shitty ION cymbals you get with it. I already have a Roland CY-8 as you can see in this video but I ordered a CY-5 as a high-hat too. I'll expand this later on with another CY-8 as Ride and a double bass pedal but that's a little further down the line.

I'm really starting to understand Sony Vegas and I'm really happy with the angle that I got from using a good tripod and the sync that was more precise this time. If you have any tips about the angle etc you can always send me a PM or leave comments on this video they would be much appreciated or you could just say the angle rocks that would be great too! :D

Anyway I really love playing this song. I didn't like it that much at first but I really started liking it after a couple of plays, it's not that hard but it gets a little bit harder along the way and it's tons of fun to play and has a lot of energy. Also enjoy my SWEET DBZ cap that I found somewhere looking for a cap because my hair looked retarded with this angle :).

And the cushion on the green pad is for reminding me that I SHOULDN'T hit that pad because I had to adjust to the GHWT setup pretty quickly for this video and it really put me off sometimes especially using both the crash(CY-8) and the ride(stock ION cymbal)as Orange. That's also why my grip looks like shit because I was concentrating on hitting the right stuff, If i focus on my grip instead and don't have to worry about confusing with the pads I can usually get a pretty decent grip even though it's nothing great.

I hope getting some more difficult stuff up later and it'll get a lot more interesting when I can do expert plus. I already have a kickpad so in combination with a double bass pedal I won't have any kind of limits like with the Twin Rocker. Enjoy!

  • what module do u use? and do you need to hook up a GH:WT kit to the module as well as the ion kit?

  • I bought a DM5 used online for like 150 dollars, I bought a used drumkit off of a buddy of mine for 35 dollars and I was pretty much set excluding the kickpad + pedal which came pretty cheap too. Anyway there's a really good site where you can buy a GHWT module for about 40-60 bucks can't remember. PM me for the address.

  • howd you hook your ions up to your GHWT kit

  • They're hooked up through a drum module(the Alesis DM5 in my case)from there a simple MIDI cable going to the GHWT kit which wirelessly connects to the xbox 360. That's about it. I'm gonna mod my GHWT kit to only be a small box soon.
