  • @llau13 hello Dr. is it vital that i have skill in chemistry for every part of petroleum engineering? i do physics math and statistics, i am not in college yet. thank you

  • @letsdancedavebowie

Yes, you need to understand basic chemistry to be a pertroleum engineer. Usually one year of university chemistry is required.

Chemistry ,organic or inorganic is all about studying valency and forming acids, alkalies and salts thts all for that u shd know how to use valency concept once u do that other things are just mugging up.Find some good books for this concept theres one book i studied was Sony and Tuly i made my chemistry concept clear from it.All the best.

  • @texasoutdoors09

Or CSM in Golden, CO ;)

  • My long term goal is to become a petroleum engineer. I think drilling and production engieering interests me most.

What is a good 2 year program to begin my education? General engineering? Mechanical? Electrical?

It seems that specializing comes later and so I need to start somewhere, can anyone toss me some advice?

  • Did anyone else notice he says size very awkwardly at 0:20
