The media craze with putting fear into the hearts of voters in an election year is no surprise. It is merely a political ploy to stack the deck against Republicans.

Popular radio talk show host Dave Ramsey weighs in. From show dated 04/01/08.

Ramsey the market expert LOL!! Don't take investment advise from anybody that didn't tell you to get out of the stock market before it crashed.

  • That statement shows how financially ignorant you are. You can't try to time the market all the time.

  • Zeor is a left wing, liberal, unintelligent moron. You know how I know this? Because a typical liberal like him just says this without a clue what he is talking about and no facts to back himself up. When you can't argue with intelligence, you will just act like a moron.

  • Oh yeah, that's real brilliant. No facts to back that up. I bet you are broke as can be and jealous of those who are successful.

  • Spot on again Dave... Awesome. If he ran for Congress I'd send him some money.

  • My current vision for some government positions: Speaker of the House: Chuck Norris. Secretary of Treasury: Dave Ramsey.

  • @pyrowolf3918 Chuck Norris would be the secretary of spank. Ramsey should have ben bernake's job. Michael Savage president. That would fix this mess.

  • @ZeroTemp Why are you so angered by someone using facts? He isn't giving an opinion. If you have a problem with what he said you have a problem with reality.

  • Big Bad Media!!! Gimme a break , I have deep respect for Dave Rmasey on most financial topics but on this he is totally off. To say that we are not in a Recession is STUPID with unemployment at 9.8% and the US debt crisis where it is how can you say no Recession! Go to Detroit, Cleveland or any big (non Southern ) city and tell me this is true

  • Dave Ramsey plugging Ben Stein, wow. You Tube Peter Schiff was right to see what a genius your precious Stein is.

  • truthforamerica is some what right but bush did hade some what of a part to do with the econamey but its not as all BUSHS fault like zerotemp says I do agree hes a moron but he some what right bush did aloow the ballouts and the first tarp so some of it did fall under his watch..

  • Interesting listening with the rear-view mirror view. "Twice as many media stories about a recession when we're not in one": That statement jumps out at me. I would guess it's not too far off to say that there is FOUR TIMES as much "media" now than there was during the 90s. Lots of media, but very little journalism. It's a shame.

  • He's just being partisan. The recession started in 2007.

I don't need Dave Ramsey to warn me. I need Dave Ramsey to not tell people to stay in the stock market when the DOW was over 13,000.

  • Dave Ramsey doesn't believe in fixing your problems for you. He encourages you to fix your problems yourself. Personal responsibility. It's not his job to give you a personal notice of financial difficulties to come. And if you're in charge of your money properly then you don't need Dave Ramsey to warn you. You won't need anyone to warn you, you'll already be set to ride out the problem as an inconvenience not a crisis.

  • That statement shows how finicailly ignorant you are. There were a lot of people warning about this crash. Dave Ramsey wasn't one of them.

    "Media generated recession"

    That's rich.
