Evo9 vs Single Turbo 350z

Evo 9 w/:
Turbo back exhaust, Boost controller, tune. on 91 pump gas
vs
APS Single Turbo 350z, full exhaust, and other supporting mods, stock block. Had slight traction issues. But hooked after 1st.

Evo won by .1 sec


**Update: Turns out the Evo had a slipping clutch, and it was slipping at high rpms all day. Then 2 Runs after this, Evo clutch completely goes out.**

Evo got a really slow launch. but the evo is basicly stock. with boost controller and exauste. He definetly raised boost. but cheaper than boosting the z. mmmm. which ones a better buy?

What you mean by slow launch? Like late to go? Or actually 60foot was slow? Was a 1.7 60 which isnt my best, but by no means slow.

What makes it look delayed was I believe were bracket racing there, and the 350z tree got to go like .1-.2 sec faster then the evo.

the supra is not a " V6 " its an inline 6

i'm not talking about how much boost a person can put on any engine. I am looking from the weight ratio on the engine, block that can handle turbo, and oem factory engine. why would gtr35/upcoming mustang/supra boosting v6 engine instead of v8? v6 is a good weight ratio, can handle up to twin turbo, the engine can pull itself and car weight. a supra v6 turbo can spank most stock v8 cars out there.

You could have a 4 cylinder that could beat a V8.  You could also have a V8 that could kill a 4 cylinder. It goes both ways man. You can't say V6 is always better then V8..because its definitely not.

are you serious? that z had a turbo kit on it.. and the evo had minimal mods.. relax..

If anyone read the pop up. the evo had to let off the 2 step because the tree messed up. Which is why the reaction time was bad.

boostnkz fails. there are even some civics that are faster on the track. so dont say leave drag racing to muscle cars.

The reaction time is not factored into the ET. The Evo ran a faster time, but lost the race. The Z won the race because his reaction time was more than the .1 seconds faster, which was the difference the Evo won by.
