With this particular martial art, one learns to strike and parry while using a particular arm movement matrix that allows a hand to be available for a deflection or strike at every quarter to half beat of movement. The follow up hand often moves under neath the active hand/arm and travels a similar path behind it. The follow up hand is not powerful but with a knife or multiple blows with a blunt object, it can be effective. It is particularly useful for knife defense training. Which is still mostly a losing battle, especially if you have no knife yourself.
Because of the camera height you can see that the legs are moving which creates decent weight through the quick strikes.

  • tja, ratet mal, warum wir autoreifen benutzen, würde ein ucc kämpfer so gegen den sandsack hauen, könntet du ihn danach in die mülltonne werfen. ucc hanburg

  • @fewag I don't know if I translated this correctly, but you are urging the use of a tire instead of a sandbag? Or perhaps you are saying that you do both. I have no problem with the use of either training tool. The tire has a distinct bounce-back which I cannot say imitates the human body much, although it creates alternative rhythms that are fun.

I get many views from Germany, awesome!

  • i have that same bag, nice hand skillz!

  • you've got me thinking... my dad bought me that when I was in, like, 7th grade from wal-mart for 50$. Another lifetime ago.
