PRECOR AMT 100i Adaptive Motion Trainer

The Precor AMT does more than customize a workout, it customizes a movement -- adapting to your motion -- which means you can completely change the motion and paths of your steps without so much as the push of the button.

Superior Member Experience
The AMT meets the needs of the most demanding members and provides a challenging alternative to any exerciser looking for variety and the chance to experience freedom of movement.

Adaptive motion
Freedom of choice. This is what makes the AMT so unique. By allowing you to alter your motion at the slightest whim of your imagination, no two workouts have to feel the same. This keeps your mind engaged and your body torn between wanting to experiment with new movements and needing a second to catch your breath.

Stride Dial
Evolve each of your workouts with the knowledge that every time you observe the AMT's stride dial you'll be getting a crash course in learning about the muscles of your body and how they respond to different movements

Experience Series Display
With streamlined ease of use through the Tap Control and seamless integration with Cardio Theater Personal Viewing Screens, the Experience Series display puts users in control.

  • @MrSarwan1980 How can you say that it's only good for beginners when you can easily increase your speed, stride length, or the resistance level? Also, if you weren't getting a good workout, what made you use it for over 2 hours a day for a year!?

  • Have been hooked on using this at the gym since joining a few months ago. For whatever reason this is the only xtrainer/(or treadmill) I've found I can use that doesn't give me back twinges after a long session. I do tend to get a touch of dead foot (right side) after 30 mins or so, but other than that it's all good. The amount of calories i can burn for the 'perceived effort' is awesome, just wish I could afford to have one of these at home!

  • I went on this for the first time today. I am in love with it! I've been going on the Precor Efx 576i for a few years now and am bored. The AMT seems so fun because you can go from a stepper to a run without changing anything on the machine. It seems to give a very realistic feel of running up a hill. Also it was burning calories mighty fast.

  • iam using precor AMT for the past 1 year .almost everyday for 2 to 2.5hrs.my review after 1 year of using precor AMT would be "much hyped machine".its good for old people, not for 20-35 yrs range.if u r doing cardio for more than 1hr per day n want to sweat it out, this is not the machine for u.i would prefer precor stepper which is the best of precor cardio machines.amt is for beginners n it doesnt give good result like PRECOR EFX OR PRECOR STEPPER.over all its a much HYPED machine.

  • I love this machine and max it out on stride and resistance. I am not in that great of shape and I am 50 years olds, so I bet I am not the only one that wishes the resistance could be increased.

  • I love these. I wish Gold's Sacramento would buy some.

  • I have been using the AMT since January. I am not a fitness geek. It is the only machine at the gym I go to regulary because it allows me to rock or "dance" to my music and doesn't mess with my stride like an eleptical and I can control the speed at anytime unlike a treadmill. So I can control my heartrate much better - all according to my music. I have lost 25 pounds and get really bothered when someone else is on the machine when I show up... LOVE this machine!

  • Try to keep an eye on your cal/min burn display which would give you a better idea of how consistently the machine measures your effort over time (I think it's the first choice, second is strides/min, third is distance -i think)

  • @melinafan81 Actually I've wondered about that as well and did some amateur research on the interwebs--the consensus being that these machines are calibrated pretty well not dead on but within a range of 10-30 cal on the mark shown.

Add in ambient temps and you've possibly rounded about to the figure or more (for eg. some days my gym is warm & I sweat more those days burn more cals too)

Also, if it helps I rotate amongst several units and always reach the same # so at least they're consistent

  • @digitaltrix How accurate do you think the calorie ticker is cuz i burn 861-856 on 20 for 60 min plus the cool down.
