@deersweetdeliad I and my family disagree. Brent and Pigpen were the only real vocalists the band had. Brent was amazing. Jerry sounded great for a lot of 80's stuff, his voice changed it didn't really decline in my opinion, yes there were badnights. Phil sounds better today than any recording I've heard pre-74 or otherwise. Donna makes me cringe with her wailing everytime. Can we agree to disagree? People have different taste. Some people like Phish, I don't know why. But I can't be mad at them

Possibly the best love song ever. Love it

One has to think that the Grateful Dead have footage of shows like these in the 70s that they can roll out of the Vault. I've had enough of 80s and 90s Views when the gold nuggets are shows like this and the '77 Passaic show.

oreokookie1000, I think this song is about a dead girl and 'faded is the crimson from the ribbons that she wore' refers to the ribbons he kept as a memory of her.
From 3:27 - 3:40 on Donna....oh man Donna...that wipe of the brow, that lift of the hair....girls are like art sometimes. stunning video.
