Kanji study

Imagine having to write an ESSAY using kanji! I would just give up on the spot. I can't believe you have the patience to do this every day for three hours. :)

I'm learning japanese with english letters before I start learning to write with kanji.

romaji are english letters, romaji is not studied, its used to help you study katakana and hiragana. so you meant that you were studying katakana/hiragana with romaji, sorry for the previous comment and good luck on your japanese!

btw, that is going to become a real crutch for you when you actually need to use your japanese.. your pronunciation will suffer as well.. its best to start with hirignana, then katakana, and then kanji.... but you will learn kanji MUCH slower than anything else, concentrate on the kanas and grammar and vocab before kanji
