John Denver live on the UK breakfast television GMTV. The song is 'Annie's Song'.

It looks like John was in the UK promoting his planned concert tour of the UK and Ireland in March 1994.

  • Nice video. I've been looking for everything John Denver for years but somehow missed this when you first put it on. Thanks for posting.

  • @bettywhitedog1 My pleasure. Thankj you for your comment.

  • i remember seeing this in the morning before school. was only 9! i remember thinking how different he looked to the greatest hits 2 cover that we had.

dad met him in london out side the palladium in the mid 70s. dad was a scaffolder and he was asking dad about differences in how we did it here to america. at the time dad kept thinking i know him, i know that face. it was only when he walked away he realised who it was lol. tho only a short conversation he said what nice guy he seemed :-)

  • @bren85q Thank you for your kind comment.

  • griz, in his book, he mention that they had become friends and all had been forgiven. He lived not far from her and he would often confer with her, especially about the children. I read that they were working to try to get back together. I would like to think that what I read was true. She and his mother were close. Did you read his book?

  • I don't think there is another who can take his place, he was a lovely man although a troubled soul at times. He fought for what he believed in and did so much good. His songs and his work in saving the wilderness areas are his legacy and i will always have a special place in my heart for John. I have a signed framed photo of him which i treasure.

  • I still am in mourning for John. He was a true American. He totally exploited his God given gifts of singing, song writing and performing. He shared his genuine love and inner beauty to all who would listen. His legacy will live on in the hearts and souls of people everywhere. I can't say enough about him. I too wish I could have met him but I can feel his heart in everysong he sang and every kind word he spoke. Bruce from Hinckley, Oh

  • Love you John.

  • outstanding

  • Ok enough about Annie, although I would love to meet her...... what about JD's performance on this song....typical outstanding job.....a master singer songwriter the world over. God I wish he would have went skiing with me nearly 30 years ago........when I wrote him a letter when I was about 14 years old. I never got a chance to meet him in real life .....shhhhhhht

  • grizbears comments are interesting because they do come from a point that is probably not very popular with those that like to live in the "John Always Loved

Annie" fantasy world . For bluelady,

don't forget the stuff in the book where John talked about that Annie got the house (yeah, that house he wrote the songs about) in the divorce and he had to actually buy it from "her" to get it back. Got to give it to John for being the better person in this one.
