They sure were fond of hidden cameras and taste tests in the eighties! I love how the customers try so hard to act surprised and then delighted after being tricked in public. I wonder if "America's Finest Restaurants" saw this commercial and exclaimed, "Let's switch to Folger's Crystals instead of our own name brand!"
There might be something to instant coffee. Because the process goes from green beans - roasting - brewing - freeze dried - packaging in such a short amount of time, it probably isn't that bad. I find the secret is you have store in freezer after opening to maintain the freshness. Otherwise in a few days you start noticing you don't get the fresh taste, you got when you first opened it.
How can an instant beat brewed coffee? I have had a lot of coffee in my life but most insant coffee is like a diferent drink compared with brew coffee.
