Dubbed "the explainer" by Wired magazine, Michael Wesch is a cultural anthropologist exploring the effects of new media on society and culture. After two years studying the implications of writing on a remote indigenous culture in the rain forest of Papua New Guinea, he has turned his attention to the effects of social media and digital technology on global society.

WOW- this needs a wide audience and i hope many people will see your talk which shares so much insight! Optimism vs ominious outcomes, Transparency vs.deception, openness and . freedom vs control, mass participation vs, mass distraction, connectedness or isolation, new hope and new enthusisam or a negative outcome from the razor's edge.No opting out! The medium is the message.
