Okay, so this isn't a vlog. I need to create an opening for my tutorials, I guess.
These are fairly cheap to make and can be used over and over again. I forgot to mention that I won't be pouring the soap to the top. I cut the mold 2 inches high to prevent spillage and soap waste. Each bar will only be about an inch thick.
But this is larger than the finished soap mold you showed us on the other vid...do you have a vid for sizes on that one?

@Soaptivated Last week I found a local supplier of acrylic sheeting, so they may be cheaper than HD. But if you have the time, the same people who made this mold with the "fun foam" have a vid using a PVC pipe, & it made a very pretty soap. It's a husband and wife team....Wayne & Billie. Look for his channel when searching for these videos as I think he has more vids than she does. His username is cwaynenc. Acrylic, though more expensive than corrugated plastic, will last a lifetime I think.

@AFST I found the title of the vid. Added all their vids to my playlists since I think they share a lot of good info. She calls the foam "fun foam" but I think it's the stuff you can get at Michael's I call craft foam - 1/16" thick. Also, I went to the Home Depot & what she calls Lexan is not what they showed me. I think the guy at HD made a mistake. It looks to me like the Lexan she uses is a harder acrylic than what I was shown. Here's her vid...

@Soaptivated WOW ! I would have thought the soap would eat the craft foam. Two sheets of the corrugated plastic would be about 20 bucks and the same size as the lexan plastic.

@AFST LOL...ok. I was watching another vid late last night. Square wood mold, lined on the sides with Lexan plastic sheeting. Odd thing was, she used a thin yellow sheet of craft foam for the bottom lining! Don't know why, but it peeled right out after removing the soap. I like the Lexan idea though. 20 bucks will get me a 4' x 8' sheet & I can line many wood molds with that, including the bottom. I should go back & ask her why she used the craft form instead of the Lexan for the bottom.

@JuDaCaProductions Oh, wow. I am blowing my own mind...lol. Here we are talking about corrugated plastic, which someone else asked you about earlier, & I responded that she could find it at a local crafts store! Ha! You know what I was thinking about at the time? The white foam board stuff. I thought the stuff you were using was foam board - it has more like a spongy interior, but it's about 1/4" thick, just like the corrugated plastic I saw used for the postal boxes. Ok...I'm lost. :o]

@AFateSoTwisted Corrugated plastic? What I am picturing is the green corrugated plastic that is used for shade covering - like corrugated aluminum...with a very large wave. Not sure I'm following you on this one...lol. But then I remember seeing a postal box made of what appeared to be a corrugated plastic, similar to corrugated cardboard boxes. Is that what you mean? If so, where do you buy that?

@AFateSoTwisted I've used my other account here and responded in error, too...lol. So I'll use a AFSTwisted comment to respond to so as to get you back on track. Then you don't have to keep using your son's account.
