  • I love the show Kings, but this is a horrible promo.

Nothing was said about the connections with the King David story.

  • I have checked out the web sight and this is a new show, but I do think that it may be in responce to all the end time chatter on the internet.

  • Yes, I agree with many of the posters here, this is a terrible way to promote this brilliant show. It is the retelling of the biblical story of David, and it should have been marketed as such.

  • @cobra312004 I couldn't agree more. When I saw promos for the show I thought it was just a fantasy version of West Wing. So, I didn't watch. Had I known what this was about, I would've watched.

  • The promos were horrible. Who will watch a show with a butterfly for a flag! Kings is about a rivalry for power and glory and they gave us butterflies! NBC aka No Brain Company. The same people who canceled Southland.

  • Agreed. Chuck barely made it this season, even with a very large corporate sponsor (Subway).

The crux of King's difficulties was it was trying to fit in a place it didn't belong. Let's face it, Kings is not a prime time network show. It belongs on HBO, where it can really cater to its true target audience, who consist mainly of middle to upper class intellectuals. The complexity of the plot, depth of emotion, and sublime quality of the acting and photography is simply lost on (more coming)

  • NBC said that they were worried about advertising the religious aspect because they thought people would get pissed that NBC is showing religious shows.

  • I second that.

  • The promos were terrible in general. They led me to believe Kings was America with a King, not an alternate universe paralleling the story of the biblical David. NBC sucks. Any time they stumble on something special they go and screw it up.

  • Lost is to Scientology, as Kings is to Christianity.

  • Please explain what Lost has to do with Scientology.
