It is good to know God really does forgive us when we cry to him as King David did, longing for God to restore us to the joy of his goodness.

Prayer of Confession
Based on Psalm 51

Lord, have mercy upon me,
According to Thy loving kindness, I pray;
Blot out my transgression and cleanse me from my sin,
According to Thy tender loving kindness.

1. My sin is ever before me,
Against Thee only have I sinned;
Against Thee, against Thee only is my sin,
Oh, wash me and make me clean again;

2. Make me to know joy and gladness,
Create in me a clean heart, Oh God;
Renew a right spirit within me,
Oh, cast me not away from Thee;

3. Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation,
Open my lips that I may sing Thy praise;
Teach me the wisdom of a broken, contrite heart,
Well pleasing in Thy sight;

dear couple, i was searching for a song to encourage me before starting homework. i found this one, and seeing you two singing this together in this room, and willingly worshiping so beautifully, really touched me. Thank you for allowing god to use you in this manner.
