Today I get the results back from my cholesterol test. In the past 52 days my cholesterol has dropped 42 points, but my doctor still wants me to start on cholesterol medication. Big blow.

Between the scale not moving and the doctor's visit, I'm feeling pretty darn low.

  • I love it, the doctor doesn't prescribe to you cholesterol medication when you are at 230, but when you drop 42 points and are making a positive change in lifestyle, he now give you a prescription. Why didn't he just wait another 50 days? My doctor wants me to do lab work now for type 2 diabetes. I've just lost 58 pounds and have gotten rid of my prediabetes symptoms and now he wants to run tests. Anyone want to give us your opinion on this.

  • Please don't take the med!! Just keep on doin' what you're doin' girl!

  • "Your still alive, which is worrying... here take these pills and become a zombie. I'm your doctor, trust me... here are some drugs which you can purchase and make my masters rich"

You haven't actually listened to your doctor, have you???

  • You need to be patient, it takes more than 52 days to change your body and a 100 day diet will only give you a quick fix, you need to live healthily for a year or so. Like when i gave up smoking, i didn't notice any huge change until 6months to a year. Hang in there Honey and be strong xxxxxxx

  • you need to be more patient, it takes longer than 52 days to lower your colestorol.

  • i dont believe youre 100% raw. not buying it.

  • @eles3d True, I don't have a good doctor, but I don't visit him these days. I don't know what prompts people to get 2nd opinions, but when I got type II diabetes & the doc wasn't much help, I got a 2nd opinion at the library and discovered the raw food diet. Now my symptoms are all gone & I don't take meds. For some of us, an incompetent doctor is the best thing to happen to us.

  • @rayme4raw I do think that SOME Docs are about testing and prescribtions. But you are their emplyoer you hired them and you can fire them. Second opions are right around the corner...I had to do that a few times. And I am glad I did. Would have gone through a D and C and also a medcine to make sure they got everything (long story). Thank you Dr Simotas!

  • ok Bunny I have a tip for you Im sure you have heard about this but you really need to do a coffee enema which will help your liver detox, have you heard of this? This will help detox a fatty liver which is why your bad C is high. Please do not go on the meds they are on the top ten most dangerous drugs. Please google Dr. Gerson and you will be amazed at the information on the liver enema.

  • bunny don't get discouraged...i'm new to this too...i'm on day fifteen...but this is not my first time...i did this fifteen years ago and succeeded in a major way but later returned to the standerd american diet...S.A.D. and it takes time for the results of high blood pressure ect to show...the damage done to our bodies take time to heal...but it will heal...EAT YOUR VEGGIES and smile...hugs...krys
