@nonaxional good music is perspective though. there's no real bad music. to say it's bad music is only perspective. besides you're comparing jazz, trip-hop and rap to alternative dance. that's not a very good comparison.

so you don't KNOW music. no one ever completely knows music because everyone is different. if we all liked what you did the world would be very boring and monochrome in musical styles.

@NeonFoxLetsPlays I have the final say. A camel is a horse designed by committee. The most popular things are usually the worst. The timbre of Rhianna's voice is almost uniquely irritating. She pushes my buttons. I went to rent a DVD the other day. Thought "what's that annoying noise?". It was Rhianna playing on the TV. I didn't ask to hear that. You can appreciate Rhianna from a certain perspective but that doesn't mean the perspective isn't distorted. You have the last word, I won't respond.

Being serious though, going by your rationale, every piece of music ever created has equal artistic merit purely on the basis that someone likes or has liked it. This means that we are supposed to view Britney Spears with the same respect as Mozart. I won't do it. You say Rhianna isn't hurting anyone. I beg to differ.
