Just before Noon on Tuesday, 15 June, I realized that there would be limited opportunity to see the river before it crested from the vantage of the 1st Street Bridge.
After driving south a bit, I reversed direction and drove north, holding the camera and recording as I went. Note how high the Elkhorn was, even at 11:30AM CST.
Finally, pay close attention to the east side of the road as the video moves north. There is a early-1990's blue Ford Taurus resting in water up to the bottom of its chassis, if not to the bottom of its doors. I remind you that this is before noon!
The "hee-hee" you hear is this author's - a passing motorist seemed curious about what I was doing, and had a quizzical, puzzled look on his face.
