it drives me nuts how often canadian jazz players were driven to play pop & easy arrangements...at least as suggested by film and audio recordings.
-
I'd like to hear you and Ed Bickert swing over great Bickert changes together.
How the hell are you??? Think of you guys often! Sascha Burland

Simply my favourite Flugal Horn player. Guido's work with the legendary Boss Brass will never, no never, date. Thank you Guido and Rob

guido basso made me so happy when he told me: "sweet compimg boy"....i was playing in a college big band and was listening too a lot of ed bickert work at this time

@andyscenic "never seen ed looking so young". There is a video or tow on here from the late 50s with Ed in a buzzcut. It's better music than this crap, too.

First time I've ever heard the great Ed Bickert suck. A guy's got to make a living somehow.
-
never seen ed looking so young, but yes, very pedestrian arrangement. Who's on drums?
-
My guess Jimmie Dale did the arrangement? Odd to hear Ed solo using the bridge pickup.
