Kayole boy abused

A ten-year old boy in Kayole is nursing injuries after his mother badly beat him and sliced his hands with a knife for allegedly stealing money from her. A good Samaritan who rushed the victim to hospital says the boy told her that his mother had gone out of town for a week and left him with two hundred shillings for his upkeep but the money was not enough to sustain him and so he withdrew four hundred shillings from the family's safe. On finding out what had happened the mother beat him up and took a knife and slit his wrists as punishment. The mother has since been arrested while the boy is currently admitted at Kayole Children's Home.

The mother should be prosecuted for child abuse.Its time laws against this vice were curbed but the government seems reluctant no this area.
