A man is in custody after he led police on a chase that started in Penn Hills and ended in Point Breeze.
Police were monitoring a house in connection to an attempted homicide in Butler when a car fitting the description given in the Butler incident pulled up to the house.
Jamal Dixon, 19, was behind the wheel.
Police attempted to stop him when he drove off, according to police.
Dixon side-swiped a vehicle in Mellon Park before he ran away from the scene. Officers arrested him in Point Breeze.
The female driver inside the car that was hit was shaken up, but reportedly was not badly injured.
The chase went through several neighborhoods including Wilkinsburg, Squirrel Hill, Swissvale and Homewood.
Police from Penn Hills and the city of Pittsburgh as well as State troopers were involved.
Dixon is not wanted in connection with the shooting.
