my iPhone 4 no sim card installed problem Video 1

I was having this problem non stop. Replaced the micro sim at at&t and that was no help. I made an appointment with the genius bar today and they wrote down this for the reason for getting a replacement phone. "Issue: Phone loses SIM card reading after a few minutes in a call, consistently. Tried testing the left-corner, does not seem to consistently affect the issue (will still do it if lying flat on a wood table). I got my new iPhone 4 and the problem is solved!!! Looks like this one was hardware not the iOS4.

I had same problem. Apple store genius said that a holding mechanism inside was failing. Gave me new phone.

so my problem is i updated my iphone 4 without sim card on it..now i'm on my last step to be activated and in order for that to happen I need a simcard on it..what should I do??I tried all kind of simcard but still its not working..any suggestion??thanks

If you have this problem with an Iphone 4, then i will tell you a way to fix this. I called AT&T and they said that most likely the problem is that your sim card has popped out of place. They said to take a paper clip and stick it inside the hole on the right side of your phone where the sim card is held and simply take it out and put it back in.

I am having the same problem right now and live 200 miles from the nearest apple store. AT&T replaced the SIM today , and then told me to restore the device to it's original settings using itunes and still the problem exists.. They are mailing me a new phone since they can't figure out the problem. No phone till afer the holidays man I am soo mad!

@XchrisX015 I went into the Apple store with little hope, they wanted to replace the sim but i told them they has already been done. They also wanted too restore the phone but i told them i already did that. So they replaced the phone, only took 30 minutes. He stated the replacement was brand new with out the packaging. I have had no problems with the new phone, i tested everything on it.

I am having the same problem. I already went to the ATT store and they replaced the sim card. That same night the problem was back. I have an appointment at the apple store today. I will let you know the what they say.
