As you walk through the zoo, you overhear people chatting about the animals in German. A lady looking at the monkeys says excitedly in German, "Look honey! The monkeys are eating ants with a stick!" You rush over to the monkeys; you have only seen them use tools on TV! How exciting! Moments later, you hear a man telling his son in German, "Look at what that baby elephant is doing!" Excited to see something new again (and feeling a little like a kid again), you rush to the elephants where you see the baby throwing dirt all around him. How cute is that?

With out a translation to go by, how do we know what we are saying?

Here's a quick one:

1 The black rhinoceros is walking the grassland, looking and watching, ...

2 The zebras are rubbing each other's necks, rubbing and scratching, ...

3 The baby elephant is playing with the dirt in a zoo, gathering, throwing, repeating, ...

4 The monkeys are eating ants with sticks, inserting, extracting, eating, ...

5 The giraffes are eating leaves from a tree in a zoo, munching and chewing, ...

Or in my very poor German: Ich suche jede wort im lexikon. Das ist nicht gut!

I could use Babel and other programs to translate.

But, you can not cut and paste from a video.

Being disabled and due to strokes, I am unable to keyboard the words even if I paused the video.

The lessons haven't always been without the translation.

@keidun Dictionary, perhaps? Figuring out what the sentences say isn't that hard either, if one watches what's going on in the picture.
