Regardless of how you reworded your argument, you are still saying all fighting styles are equally effective. That is a fallacy. Using the argument that because the philosophy of all fighting styles is survival as proof that they are equal in their achievement of survival is a joke.

@snarfels I love how you decide to insult me from a small debate which shows how pathetic you really are, I have enough years of training to understand what I know and my beliefs, it is your arrogant and problems if you decide to slander me, but thats your decision, grow up mate.

... You're not very bright are you?
-
@snarfels well of course techniques are different, but the principles of all martial arts are the same, which is to survive, therefore they are effective no matter what you say, they all work, your opinion is yours and I respect that, but my belief is that all martial arts are equal in what their principles accomplish.

@B3nBo1194 Of course the fighter matters, but that is 100% irrelevant to this discussion. Unless two fighting styles are exactly the same there is no way they can both be equally efficient/effective. One has to be better. A poor fighter practicing a more effective fighting style than his opponent will have an advantage, even if his opponent is in reality a better fighter. If you are going to go the route and say every style is literally equal then your not simply not using logic.
-
@snarfels yes sir, but you are blind to see the meaning, that all martial arts are as good as the martial artist practising it, a black belt in taekwondo, defeating a 2nd dan black belt in karate does not make taekwondo better, it means the student/teacher has had more skill and training in his techniques, all martial arts are equal its just other people believe their not.
-
@B3nBo1194 Effective comparable to what? Unless you're planning on making the ridiculous statement that all martial arts are equally effective, we can therefore determine that some most be more effective than others, and others less so. If a blackbelt in any form of kung fu can kick the shit out of a random guy on the street, he has an effective fighting style. When that blackbelt gets the shit beaten out of him by a kickboxer, we can assume kickboxing is even more effective.
-
@snarfels all martial arts are effective, all have different techniques but all bare the same meaning, to survive, if the martial techniques wouldn't work it would not of lasted 100's and 1000's of years through history, all martial arts work alike, and people suit them differently, however the main goal and the main principle of any martial art is the art of survival.

@NXPenguinFlutist There isn't really any higher chance of failure then a normal sidekick if you can preform it correctly. And if you have time to get a little speed they have a brutal force behind them.

Why so much hate on Krav Maga?
So is anybody sick and tired of Krav Maga douchebags talking about how tough they are and thinking they're invincible? Seriously, you're a middle-class white teenager growing up in suburbia and now you think you know the mean streets just because some fat guy in the rec center taught you how to throw a kick to someone's nuts.
