  • The decanting issue seems controversial as one can see from the multiple comments. I personally like to see a Pinot evolve in the glass for a more multi-dimensional experience.

  • I won't lose any sleep about that for sure. Especially since she is no longer associated with the winery.

  • Thank you very much for your comments.

  • im in love

  • @deepchi She may not be associated with the winery any longer, but she is amongst the top in all of Burgundy. Aubert de Villaine would have the same thoughts. Like I said before, With a wine like this, decanting is the only issue I have. As well as the lack of a more in-depth critique of the wine itself.

  • Something tells me that Madame Lalou Bize-Leroy would be outraged if she saw this video.

  • I hope you take theese humble advises nicely and you can enjoy even better other beautifull wines like this one! Peace

    :)

  • Second thing, that kind of wine needs probably to decant properly and be served at the proper temperature (17 18°C) I hope it was... And tasting is not just with the mouth, thats good to look at the color first WITHOUT shaking the wine, then smell it still without turning the wine in the glass (it's called the "first nose") and then only you can turn the glass (hyperoxygenation) and smell it again ("second nose") FINALLY you can take it in your mouth and enjoy. Sorry for my english

  • Hello,

Nice to see that you enjoy french wine and specifically burgundy wine! I'm a french guy working in the wine industry in Burgundy and I may give you some advise to enjoy wine even better:

First of all you have to cut the wine capsule UNDER the ring and then clean with a piece of tissu the top of the bottle ESPECIALLY FOR SUCH A GREAT BOTTLE (that most people me included will never have the chance to taste)!!!
