@uchiharainy yep that work for me with preowned games since gamestop checks the disc so yeah that works for getting your unreadable game for a better one.

its not possible to steal a game at gamestop b cuz the boxes are empty

see what you do is bring a broken ps3/xbox game from home, then buy the game from gamestop new. then go outside of the store switch the games and say that you just found out that your best friend bought it for you earlier. so you walk away with a new game and they have the broken one :)
