this motor has the same power head as that newer west bend 7.5 with neutral clutch that you ran in another video. compatibility was great for w/b through chrysler, they did not change much.
i have the next year (round plastic emblem instead of fish) and have all of them but the SHRIMP which i think had a faulty pot metal carb that year, so really hard to find.
i love the space age styling of these late 50s/early 60s w/b- some say ugly, i say AWESOME!!!

I had a 1959 West Bend Silver Shark 18H.P. Great motor you have there and they had a very distinct sound.If I recall its either a 20;1 or 25;1 mix

I have 2 18hp West Bend outboards and i will make videos of them.I run my motors at 24:1 mix.
